A Cool Sheffield Wedding At Abbeydale Picture House And The Mowbray
“THE PHOTOS ARE AMAZING WE LOVE THEM”
Tash + Alex
Next to feature on the blog is Tash & Alex’s super cool urban wedding in Sheffield. Having already photographed their good friends Nicole & Michael’s wedding in 2019 I instantly knew it was going to be an amazing day.
They got married at Abbeydale Picture House which is an incredible 1920s cinema that sits on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield. Opened originally in 1920, it was the largest and most luxurious cinema in Sheffield, often referred to as the “Picture Palace” Over a decade later, the rebirth of this amazing heritage site began, the restoration project has been undertaken by multiple groups, including The Friends of Abbeydale Picture House. The reception was at The Mowbray which is a very unique, historic events venue in the City Centre of Sheffield.
Tash wore a beautiful eco-sustainable gown by Catherine Deane from The White Yard Bridal Boutique in Yorkshire. With flowers by the extremely talented Plantology Florists in Sheffield. It was also great working with Laura Mosley at Craft Makeup, The Headonist Hair & Social, and the always lovely Inner City Weddings & Events, all of whom are based in the steel city.
Sheffield is like a second home to us so it’s always amazing to get the chance to return to the area and document weddings here. Looking forward to more Sheffield weddings in 2023. Here’s some highlights from their day!
