A Wintery November Wedding At Kielder Waterside in Northumberland
“WE JUST WANTED TO SAY HOW MUCH WE ADORED OUR PICTURES! I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT YOU MANAGED TO DO GIVEN THE WEATHER ON THE DAY. EVERYONE WE HAVE SHOWN THEM TO HAS BEEN BLOWN AWAY BY THEM”
Kir + Mike
I joined Kir & Mike for their wet and windy November wedding at the picturesque Tipi wedding venue at Kielder Waterside, set in the beautiful Northumberland woodlands. We family holiday at Center Parcs each year and the setting at Kielder Waterside is very reminiscent. Such peaceful surroundings for a relaxed wedding day.
The weather was very challenging with high winds, freezing cold conditions and what felt like relentless rain. I’ve never let any adverse weather conditions affect how I shoot a wedding day though, and as soon as we got a break in the rain we headed out quickly to take in some of the stunning locations and backdrops on offer.
Kir looked amazing in a gown by Willowby by Waters from The White Yard Bridal Boutique in Yorkshire, with flowers by Durham-based florist Bees & Butterflies. I was joined by Carly Taylor hair stylist and Irene MUA to complete the wedding supplier dream team. Mike and his groomsman all wore matching tweed suits by The Grooms Rooms in Horbury, Wakefield, definitely the correct choice of attire for a day like this.
